Cabal not canal I hate that blooming speeel check
There is a bitter irony in misplacing a diary at a hospital when the appointment is a study to see if a heavy dance with chemo has damaged your memory.
@imcmillan.bsky.social Good morning Ian from a canal where I disturbed a canal of female ducks hiding on the pontoon from male attention.
Is it still giggling about fooling poor Michael Fish ?
@drlucyrogers.com love the photo . A recently retired boater had one of those bubble machines which he got great joy from, worried he would be " judged" Every adult passerby I spoke with agreed if he found something that gave him peace and joy " good for him"

Beautiful, sadly for us canal dwellers our adventures are more curtailed
True , but I was in for over 6months with accute myeloid luckaemia they cut me some slack .
Late last year in his early 50's my unofficial kid brother died . He was the acting manager of the children's respite unit I had worked in previously . Last night his kid daughters danced at a fundraiser for a sensory room , I couldn't attend. The WhatsApp left me a blubbering mess.
20 + years ago I was in my hospital room late on a Saturday night . Just noodling on my harmonica. Nurse came in to chide me as somehow without thinking I had slipped into the last post .
Yes this one I have .
Good ( later than usual ) morning @imcmillan.bsky.social from a marina where I contemplate a week which saw a poor soul lifted from the canal and our tool containers broken into . Everywhere mirrors every possibility.
Hello back , clothes washing before working a slipway couple miles up the canal .
RIP to Jesse Jackson. His funeral is today. I wanted to share this clip from his appearance on Sesame Street in 1971. His important words ring just as true today as they did back then.
How much of a kick does winter green tea have ?
Wow , that is some list , it sounds like a nightmare. When I first met my ex she was head house keeper in a large hotel chain , the stories of guest behaviour was horrendous. Camera tech was not at today's level . Now it seems the opposite is true.
@imcmillan.bsky.social Good morning Ian from a canal where the hissing from the resident swans declares the chosen spots for future nest and the first hints of rebirth a declaration of defiance.
@robinince.bsky.social hi would you be able to message me re the email address please ?
Much more than I should 4 arsenal podcasts and two football . Got far too excited a couple of years back by bumping into Ian Stone at the fringe . Haven't been able to attend a match since Ozil scored at the Toon and was at same ground for that goal by Dennis .
I can vouch that a fire on a boat in a packed marina will get everyone's attention. Thankfully out with out too much drama .
She spoke to me for about 25 mins , so hurt , devalued and angry . I did my best , listened and hopefully encouraged . I hope she's doing ok .
Given the other area of my work , I used to say " not every family is the Waltons '
@mirandakeeling.com last post reminded me Dublin 03 veggie cafe with a sit anywhere tables . An obviously upset younger woman tells me she has just been to her mum's.The mantle piece has both her brothers one in academia one forces and a blank frame" for when you do something I can be proud of " OMG
PPS I once saw a fed up Justin Hoyte in Fenwick's Newcastle ( during his time with Boro) standing in the women's clothing department whilst a woman carried a couple of dresses
As long as you didn't Trex the silver swan .
Having had a cute myeloid leukemia I say there's no warranty but death .
I'm available for children's parties , weddings and PR .
@tuesdayclub.bsky.social Thanks so much for the podcast . I remember watching Collin Hill turn up in a Ford Escort to park behind the clock end . PS l love being Freeloading Scum
May I have coffee , no milk ,strong and bitter . If it was a human it would be divorced and living on a boat as part of " the floating Foreign Legion "
Alice Augusta Ball (1892 – 1916) was an African-American chemist whose groundbreaking work produced the first effective treatment for leprosy. She died at age 24 before she could publish her findings, and others took credit for her work, but her legacy has now been acknowledged. #CelebratingWomen
