A moment of zen in a chaotic world: Bruce relaxing on a sunny day, enjoying the sun, the sound of the breeze in the wind chimes, and the smells of the outdoors

Today is a good day to open your windows, enjoy the warm air, and blast the Stone Roses debut album beginning to end youtu.be/JuGuPZnqqlI?...
It’s gorgeous outside. Time for mid 2000s Swedish indie spring music youtu.be/UnUgo-WBo3w?...
Back home with my buddies
I always feel guilty about traveling and leaving the dogs behind given Bruce’s separation anxiety. But there’s no better feeling than having a sitter he’s known and loved for years looking after him.
NEW: As the Berlin Wall fell, FBI counterintelligence confronted a Soviet Bloc deep-cover spy in San Francisco. It would help set off an explosive chain of events leading to a shocking gambit by a European intel chief.

He loved you back
Wanted one since I was a kid but nope, never had one until him
Bruce’s face while I made his Gotcha Day steak
Four years later, we’re celebrating the way he deserves. He’s my best friend, my wife’s loyal guardian and pillow, and a play buddy for his big sister, Saska. He doesn’t make my life easier; he makes it better. Happy Gotcha Day, buddy.
Took him home the next night. Opened the door to my apartment and sat down on the couch. I can’t stress enough how much I had no idea what I was doing. Still don’t. He jumped up on my lap, farted and fell asleep.
Took him back. Filled out an application and snapped this pic in case it was the last time I saw him. I rounded the corner walking home and three minutes later they called me and said I was approved, I could take him home tomorrow. They were rooting for me
I was crushed. I snuck him into my apartment to see if he liked it and if he’d do ok. He seemed excited and curious. I decided to put in an application just in case.
Almost every night after I met him I took him for a walk. Didn’t know how it worked. I’d never had a dog before so I just kept walking him. One night the clerk told me they’d tee Bruce up for me but they wanted to let me know he had a meeting with a pre approved adopter in a few days
I wasn’t able to properly celebrate Bruce’s Gotcha Day on the anniversary Wednesday so we decided to celebrate tonight. February 25, 2022 I went to the rescue to pick up Bruce he’d jumped up on my lap during a walk with a volunteer a week prior.
