There are a lot of outstanding votes. Downballot races are impacted. If you wanna bitch & moan about unity then you should be louder about this trash from Republicans first. Then you can do the work to earn trust that you’re still taking for granted as you dismiss the base of the Democratic Party.

He’s almost certainly won by current margins but to suggest she’s Trumpian for not conceding before the votes are fully counted because of Republican voter suppression that only she seems to be acknowledging tonight is the behavior that will lose the seat later when you instead blame Black voters.

…we really are going to have to have a conversation within the party after the midterms, to address the toxicity & viciousness launched at Black Women & Women who run.

As an observer of this conversation (and I too appreciate that you responded) and this campaign, I'm sick of white male candidates benefiting from racism during the campaign, then leaving it to the Black candidate to clean it up--and voters to stomach it.

It’s depressing. There wasn’t a KO in that debate but her qualifications & experience shone through in every answer, even where I didn’t agree on specifics. LSR PAC has been disgraceful. I hope he gets better people around him & deals w/ his clear blindspots. At least Hunt fucked up the GOP for us.

My big issue is that she is absolutely more qualified. More education, congressional and community experience, and it’s still not enough. Plus his negative ads here are gross AF.

This is also part of the problem of why we can’t win in Texas. I live in Travis county (Austin), the voted overwhelmingly for Bernie in 2015. They also voted overwhelmingly for Talarico. White people fucking suck here.

That clip of him saying “god is nonbinary” will do numbers with the bigots too. He’s better than a Republican alternative but I’m not convinced he can dish out a proper heavy swing at Cornyn or Paxton in a way that doesn’t bite him.
