The novel, being Cormac McCarthy, is stark, desolate, and unrelentingly violent. It is a bloody portrait of an old west that has since been heavily sanitized.

I was driving today and saw a billboard for a personal injury lawyer. This is not a very unusual thing in Houston, or anywhere, I think, but this one said “Gamez Law Fights!”
“Fights,” in this context, is a verb. With the implied full sentence being “Gamez Law fights (for you).”
