I suppose it depends on what is meant by explained. It seems to me, the quantity of any given cognitive load can be mitigated or made worse by the quality of the teaching. In our conversation with Sweller, I tried to allude to this re: the slipperiness of the gap.

It seems like CLT gives us one conceptual framework with which to think about learning. The measurement issue is indeed an issue and while it provides a useful heuristic, it's only after the fact that we see any effects. Everything else is just predictive modeling.

Most of the left don't realize this, but they go along to get along. Much of the right doesn't understand how illiberal and authoritarian the MAGA movement is, either; they just want to beat back the left, and they see Trump as their warrior. Partisan tribalism is a helluva drug.

The woke left and MAGA right resemble each other in one really dangerous way. They both think our Constitution should be ignored or done away with. They value their authority more than our liberty.
