Riftbound Card: Wind Wall Counter a spell. Costs 3 Mana. The artwork is from Legenda of Runeterras Will of Ionia. It does not depict a wall made of wind, like Yasuos ability in League of Legends. It's a twisting purple branch with pink petals. Now there is wind kind off on the card, but that's not a wind wall. Like not even close. Maybe call it wind gust in ionia but wind wall? Imo such a flavour fail because Wind Wall denying a spell makes so much sense (that's what it does in league, blocking a skillshot), but this just isn't a Wind Wall on the art... I'm sure they'll sell a version with fitting art later as a chase rare or something to sell packs... Ramblimg sory (cont in Will of Ionia alt text tho)

The card Will of Ionia from Legends of Runeterra. Classic, iconic. Recall a unit, costs 4 mana, playable at fast speed (in reaction to other things). This card was so ubiquitous, it literally has Ionia in its name. (it's not Deny level iconic, LoRs own Counterspell, but worry not that cards art is now on a conditional counterspell and the name changed from Deny to Defy lmao..) The art is a twisting purple branch with pink flowers and petals. It's so not a wind wall it's unbelievable. It's the Will of Ionia man, it's the magical Ionian nature rejecting an intruder entry, or returning an ally to safety. These lands care about their own, but are hostile to those with bad intentions. That's in the name and art (and lore). It's just not a Wind Wall, especially not with Yasuo flavourtext, like come on. I can easily see Will of Ionia being a Counterspell, like rejecting outsiders magic, but its art is not a Wind Wall courtesy of Yasuo. Okay rant over watch me on twitch if you read all this and want to hear more stream of consciousness opinions on LoR and Riftbound.

I don't like that Riftbound is reusing all the LoR card art. I know what all these cards are called and do by the art alone (the LoR versions) so seeing the art used outside of their first intended card throws me off, it feels lazy. That's not Yasuos Wind Wall, it's Will of Ionia and it bounces smh
