I had a group chat in college with my roommate and two friends, also in comp sci. Just guys being dudes for a few years. Boom, one of us is non-binary. Boom, second one is a trans woman. Boom, I'm a trans woman. Now my best friend is the only one of us who is still cis. One might think it's only a matter of time before he breaks, but I've come to a different conclusion. As the years go by more and more people in his orbit end up queer. His gf is bi, his only sibling is gender fluid, more and more of his friends come out as trans, and I think I know what's happening. He's slowly consuming the heterosexuality and cisgenderism of everyone around him. Soon there will only be two kinds of people on this earth. Queer people, and Thomas.

It's almost as if these positions have nothing to do with lowering abortion rates. Do you suppose it's just about controlling people who happen to have uteruses? That couldn't be it, could it?
