Sounds fair. The exposure to highly nuances problems is probable the main push to think outside the box as well.

Interesting. Do you think it is something that can be practiced to get better?

The 2nd one - how did you practice your observation to get that insight?

Living with Windows has always been a calculus of how useful it is professionally vs. the amount of unbearable shit you gotta disable with a script and I think we reached a tipping point where it’s majority unbearable shit.

I had a Staff PM who shared this Wu Wei daoism concept to me few years back. It is a practice that apparently helped him in navigating challenges at work and life.

Look, Nvidia thought it was a gaming company and OpenAI thought it was a charity so if you're expecting either of those companies to have some master plan to avoid the bubble popping you need to look elsewhere.

In your experience, where does this comparison-driven falsification break down? Are there domains where forcing divergent artifacts actually misleads rather than clarifies?

I concur. When you craft a falsifier, how do you avoid ones that are too cushioned or ambiguous? A lot of teams unintentionally create hypotheses that are technically ‘falsifiable’ but practically unfalsifiable because the signals are muddy. How do you force the sharpness?

Ha, how do you frame hypotheses so that prototypes don’t become validation theatre? What makes a hypothesis ‘falsifiable enough’ to be useful?

PREDICTION: Once Israel gets their people back,

but BEFORE they release the 1000s of Palestinians they are illegally holding and let food/aid in unencumbered,

Israel will LIE (like it always does) that Hamas broke some rule and then Israel will start murdering Palestinians again

Watch for it.
