This was all Calvinball to justify everyone’s favorite invented new theory of inflation politics. It’s revealing to see how quickly that’s all been tossed aside, even though inflation under Trump is just as high as it was for most of 2023-24 & higher than when Biden left office.

Miraculously, now that Joe Biden is no longer president, everyone is rediscovering their supposed lack of concern about unemployment. I guess folks care about something besides inflation after all:

There was corruption in the Grant and Harding administrations, but the presidents were largely uninvolved. Nixon committed crimes in secret but didn't really line his own pockets.

There’s clearly no adult in the room to say “wait, maybe don’t go after the charismatic war hero turned literal astronaut who ran after his wife was a victim of political violence.”
