What a night

Have found myself unable to concentrate on reading this week after some full-on, overstimulating days at work but I bought myself the new Agatha Christie puzzle book and it was so relaxing to just do that in from of a Christmas movie last night to unwind!

When you work in a bookshop at Christmas. Delightful, but exhausting.

Wicked is absolutely superb.

She is such a gem! Brilliant humour but also tackles some tough topics within her books. I’ve read them all so many times!

This made me realise I read lots of debut/newer authors! Apart from JW all those authors are ones I’ve read as they’ve released new books.

Mhairi McFarlane is my go-to, favourite for smart contemporary rom-coms with extra heart. Mad About You and Who’s That Girl are great to start with!

Ohhh yes this is my all time favourite book! I re-read it recently and it’s just superb. The film adaptation is also brilliant.

Day two of Beatle week. The next four entries in Volume 2 of ‘Rubber Saul’. A series celebrating mid century graphic design by reimagining the songs of The Beatles as old film posters. Keep an eye out throughout the week for the rest, if you’re interested in such things.

When the theatre lover is at work 💚 I’m so excited for the film and a slower day with the snow meant I could get a little creative with our displays.
