HOLLER: A GRAPHIC MEMOIR OF RURAL RESISTANCE by Denali Sai Nalamalapu
Appalachia is for life, not for profit!
(Quibble: I think is more accurately long journalism than memoir, but I won't hold the title against it)
Day 5 of #libfaves25 is RABBIT MOON by Jennifer Haigh. I have been reading this author from the beginning and this novel shows her growth. (Plus, we are alums of the same small college, #dickinsoncollege.)
Today's #LibFaves25 pick is Catherine Chidgey's THE BOOK OF GUILT. This sinister story of three boys living in a very unusual children's home in an alternate history England had me 100% hooked from its first pages. If you like unsettling dystopian vibes, this is the book for you! 💙📚
AMITY by Nathan Harris is absolutely terrific! It made my (rather late) #libfaves25 list.
Choice for day 6 of #LibFaves25 is GREENTEETH. Read this fairly early this year and still am thinking about this lovely reworking of a monster and the story's delicate thinking through of agency.

Day 8 of #libfaves25 is SAY YOU'LL REMEMBER ME by Abby Jimenez. Samantha and Xavier have a meet cute at his vet office that almost goes awry. But after one amazing date, Samantha moves 2000 miles away. Can they make long distance work? Family drama, travel snafus, and a cute kitten! (read on audio)
