Statement of the Members of the European Council on the situation in the Middle East Today, the members of the European Council have adopted a statement that sets the EU’s common position on the unfolding situation in the Middle East.

The #EUCO statement on the situation in the #MiddleEast is out:

“We strongly emphasize Israel’s right to defend itself in line with humanitarian and international law (…). We reiterate the importance to ensure the protection of all civilians at all times in line with IHL”
