Are you ready for the Gala?
In our upcoming episode we will be kicking off the 1st inaugural Hellfire Gala and we couldn't be more excited! A mix of Met Gala meets superheroes meets politics, this event is bursting at the seams with stories to tell. And you better believe the world is listening.

Gerry Duggan's Cable was a nice, relaxing run that was full of great art and good laughs. Plus it took a relatively new character with large shoes to fill and humanized him. He has a lot to learn before becoming 'the old man', but he's got time.
Plus, it gave us this great image of Apocalypse.

We say goodbye to Cable as Gerry Duggan's series concludes, and explore the bond between two brothers in Children of the Atom as they strive to protect each other against a shocking returning face!
All this and our final lead up to the long awaited 1st Hellfire Gala!

Dr. Nemesis has had...quite a life. From genuis scientist to super hero, collaberator with the Third Reich to ardent Nazi hunter, the Doctor has had his fair share of stories both in Marvel and outside it. Plus, he created the Krakoan drugs that are used by the fledgling nation as a bargaining chip!

Si Spurrier's "Way of X" kicks off with a bang, reintroducing some well-known and formidable figures to the Krakoan Age: Legion and Onslaught. Both powerhouses in their own right, we look forward to seeing how these two 'Sons of Xavier' stake their claim on mutant Eden.

We're starting our philosophical journey in Way of X 1&2 by Si Spurrier! It's a chunky comic full of sociological theories, ethical questions, and our new favorite scientist: Dr Nemesis. We also cover Cable 11 and the quick (but effective) lead up to its' final issue

Though the Marauders now lose Storm and have uncertain waters ahead, at least they have Lockheed by their side!

As we prepare to say goodbye to X-Factor and its wonderful bunch of characters we're still grateful to see where it was all leading towards. Though rushed, X-Factor #9 by Leah Williams still has time to show its beauty and symbolism.

This week we're covering the unfortunately rushed lead up to the end of X-Factor with issue #9, the start of a brand new story with X-Corp #1, & a heartfelt farewell to Storm in Marauders #20 as we build up to the Hellfire Gala.

X-Factor once again astonishes with its art! The book truly is a joy to read every single issue and we're sad to be coming close to its end. But Eyeboy will always be with us in our hearts and we'll never forget this rambunctious group of detectives.

New Mutants #18 highlights this latter promise in a beautiful, contrasting way. Karma with her choice to bring back her brother and the Shadow King with his co-opting of that promise for his own manipulations...

Today we explore Wolverine's vampire challenges in issues #11-12 and the theme of 'second chances' in New Mutants #18. Plus a great discussion on how these comics showcase the diverse storytelling of Krakoa!

It really is hard to express how much fun the character interactions are in Hellions. This is just a brief little look at issue #10 but each one is filled with little moments like these. It makes everyone so distinct and gives them life!

Hellions by Zeb Wells has been a blast but it's also been nice to learn how much it has pulled from X-Men's history! Not only from its villains but also for the art. For instance, Hellions #10's cover by Stephen Segovia is a homage to the classic Uncanny X-Men #146 cover by Dave Cockrum!
