Building affordable housing is going to be a team effort, and this $3 million federal investment brings us one step closer in Allegheny County.
Thank you @repsummerlee.bsky.social & @ace-innamorato.bsky.social!
Across our Commonwealth, we’re taking action to address our housing crisis by increasing our housing supply and making sure there are pathways for everyone to gain housing on their terms.
Happy Birthday to my best friend, incredible partner and beautiful wife, Blayre.
I'm so grateful to have you by my side each and every day and I can't wait to see where life takes us.
We’re investing in women-owned business, protecting your reproductive freedom, increasing access to childcare and improving community safety.
There’s still work to do, and we’re going to keep fighting for a better future.
Happy International Women’s Day.
Today we honor the fight for women’s equality and celebrate the progress we’ve made.
Every day, Pennsylvania is working to empower women, improve equality across industries and build a Commonwealth that is welcoming to all, regardless of gender.
The Trump tariffs hurt working families, older adults, and small businesses, causing economic pain for millions of Pennsylvanians. We took them to court the first time over these illegal tariffs and we’re taking the Trump Administration to court again.
Earlier this year we celebrated the expansion of the Keystone Early Learning Center, growing our child care services for the people who serve Pennsylvania.
It’s part of our whole-of-government approach in making state government work for you.
Wishing Pennsylvanians across this Commonwealth a happy Holi celebration!
May this Festival of Color bring hope and new beginnings into your life and fill your heart with joy.
Since 2023, Pennsylvania has driven out state dollars to workforce development programs, benefiting more than 39,000 Pennsylvanians.
Now, we’re investing an additional $4.1 million to our Schools-to-Work program, supporting 17 projects that help high schoolers find careers that work for them.
Congratulations Roxanne Brown on becoming the first woman and first person of color to serve as the Steelworkers’ International President.
I can think of no better way to start Women’s History Month.
I’m the proud son of a hairdresser and a union bus driver. One of my grandfathers worked for the railroad and the other one was a steelworker. Steel and unions are part of my DNA, just like it is for every brother and sister in the @steelworkers.bsky.social
My statement on the attacks in the Middle East:
It’s a hockey night in Pittsburgh!
The ICE facilities in Berks and Schuylkill counties that were purchased in secret, do not belong here.
Our administration and our state agencies will do everything we can to prevent these facilities from becoming operational.
Pennsylvania is actively working with our partners in the federal government to mitigate the spread of avian flu at our poultry farms.
We want our farmers to know that we have your back and resources like PA’s HPAI Recovery Fund is available to you.
Pennsylvanians rely on 211 to help connect them with local resources that help with food assistance, counseling services, and even disaster recovery.
We’re calling to increase our state investment in 211 services by 33% this year.
Today, PA announced we are driving out $15 million to provide direct support to our small businesses to help entrepreneurs with costs to start or expand their businesses and grow local economies.
Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, shaping our main streets and building community in every one of our 67 counties. When they succeed, everyone benefits.
In our 2026-27 state budget, we are once again proposing an increase to the minimum wage:
➡️ Minimum wage increases from $7.25 to $15 an hour
➡️ Tipped wages increase from $2.83 to $9 an hour
More than two dozen states have raised their wages in the past few years. It’s time for PA to join them.
It’s through these initiatives that more Pennsylvanians are finding family-sustaining jobs and businesses are expanding.
Pennsylvania’s economy is growing, outpacing our competitors because we’ve prioritized investments in our diverse industries and created new avenues for workers to enhance their skills through workforce training and apprenticeship programs.
Pennsylvania families are the ones who paid the $4 billion price tag for the Trump tariffs. And it's Pennsylvanians who should see that $4 billion returned to them.

I just convened the PA Emergency Management Council to accept the Governor's Emergency Declaration, ensuring our teams are able to help our communities recover from this winter storm quickly.
Our state agencies have already been coordinating before the storm began and will continue to do so.
The one thing every young person in Pennsylvania should know is that you have a voice and your voice matters.
The Trump tariffs caused prices to skyrocket, hurt American families, and disrupted our economy – and now the Supreme Court ruled the tariffs illegal.
This is a win for Pennsylvanians and Americans across the nation who lost money and saw their savings disappear from these unnecessary tariffs.
Since taking office, our administration has intentionally driven out dollars to retain and increase our teacher, child care, and law enforcement professionals because these are the workers that make Pennsylvania a great place to live.
"If I can give back to the community that gave me everything, what a victory that is in life." Madeline Loring was named the 2026 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year for her dedication and passion in educating every student that enters her classroom. Well deserved honor – congratulations Ms. Loring!
Ramadan Mubarak!
I want to wish everyone who celebrates, a blessed and peaceful fast. May this month of Ramadan bring happiness into your home and blessings for your family.
In the last few years, Pennsylvania has taken steps to grow our elder care network, creating more avenues for people to find employment in this field.
The proposed 26-27 state budget can further these investments and reduce our caregiver worker shortage in PA.
Our communities are safer and more resilient from gun violence than they were four years ago because we took a different approach to public safety: community driven solutions.
