Unfinished book by Victoria Amelina, killed in Ukraine, wins Orwell Prize - Books Ireland Victoria Amelina wins Orwell Prize for Political Writing & Donal Ryan wins Orwell Prize for Political Fiction.

Victoria Amelina who was killed in Ukraine has posthumously won The Orwell Prize for Political Writing.

Donal Ryan spoke on RTÉ 1 about how moving the prize-giving was, & with humility about Heart, Be at Peace, which won the award for political fiction.
