The NEWS I am getting about actions in the U.S. is becoming scary!

I once looked up to the U.S. and was proud to be a neighbor and friend. I looked forward to trips to U.S.. We welcomed our American friends that came to Canada.

How did one person ruin all of this? ONE! WHY?

Holiday Monday here in Ontario, Canada.

Being retired and never getting a "day off" can be tough! Every day I turn on a NEWS channel in anticipation of a scrolling NEWS flash of an orange turd being flushed, sadly, another day of stupidity.

FYI, it is a holiday here in Ontario Canada, called Civic Holiday. It was established to give people a 3-day weekend midsummer.

Sad part is, I am RETIRED, so I never get a day off, 😔

Spent the week day tripping around Southern Ontario. We do have beautiful surroundings and lots to see and do. I had sort of lost sight of that fact.

It was nice to see so many people out socializing. We may have eliminated covid anti-socialism!

I haven't been posting due to passing of my father-in-law and all the things associated, diagnosis, Hospice, passing, funeral home, notifications, preparation, funeral, internment, will, banks and now LAWYERS.

A learning experience for sure.

Tomorrow isn't guaranteed.

A little humor this AM.

I HONESTLY hate to admit it but this is true. For my entire life (75yrs) I have thought of U.S.A. as our "neighbors " and friends. We routinely traveled to "The States", but NO MORE!

REGRETTABLY, I find myself thinking "go home" everytime I see a U.S. license plate.

You hate US, We DON'T need U.S.

I do not think normal, sane Americans hate Canada. The elected government make it clear Canada is an adversary AND Canadians are not welcome.

Daily we hear of how Canadians are mistreated by Immigration and the public.

I know these are isolated and not the norm. I am not willing to take the risk.

I am not a person of faith. I do however strive to follow the philosophies attributed to Jesus Christ. Help the needy, welcome the stranger, feed the less fortunate and good shall triumph over evil.

My understanding of other faiths is similar values.

Yes, we have our differences but they don't tear us apart.

What I don't understand is why the American Government hates Canada.

It is time for Canada to align elsewhere.

I haven't been online much this past week.

My Father-in-law entered End of Life Care in Hospice.

I am beyond amazed at the loving, caring and sensitive staff and volunteers at the Hospice. They make a difficult time peaceful and loving.

They are what caring is all about.

ME again,

Well, Taco pontificating "his" ceasefire was a bit premature as it appears, like his other ventures, void of any substance.

Now he is pissed at both countries for not playing by "his" rules.

The whole world is watching and laughing at him. He wanted to make a splash at NATO, BELLY FLOP!

Here in southern Ontario we are entering Day 3 of a significant heat wave. Cloudless skies and temps in mid 30°'s c (94° f) with Heat Index of 45° c (113° f).

I can only imagine the discomfort level in our old vacation spots in Tennessee and Kentucky.

No problem. If someone refers to anyone as a rabid dog, I would equate that to hate. Personally, I couldn't care any less what that person thinks of Police. That is their issue. That person also had me placed on a list of people spreading misinformation. THAT makes it personal!

I am NOT offended in any way. If someone dislikes or hates me for who I am, so be it. If someone sinks to low name calling they should be centered out so that those that may have an opposing point of view can recognize and/or avoid. No different than calling out white supremacist.
