I’m a heart attack survivor and acetaminophen is pretty much the only OTC painkiller I’m allowed to take, but I do so very cautiously. I recall hearing as a teen about my uncle’s buddy—an alcoholic who used Tylenol to treat his hangovers, a one-two punch to his liver that led to his early death.

The chart shows three lines; Prior conviction, pending criminal charges, and no criminal record. From 2019 through September 2025, the largest group is people with criminal convictions, with much further down people with pending charges. But starting in January, those without criminal records spikes dramatically. In July it crossed pending charges and in the latest data it jumps above criminal convictions.
🚨NEW: For the first time in history, the single largest group of people arrested in the interior and sent to ICE detention is people with NO criminal record.
As of yesterday's data release, 40%(!) of those arrested in the interior and detained by ICE had no prior conviction or pending charges.

However, in 1559 the ship carrying them to Spain sank and only two hangings were saved, so the king ordered another set in 1562. It originally consisted of ten tapestries, only three of which are still extant: one shows God commanding Noah to build the ark, another depicts the disembarkation after the flood, and the third is this scene, where the biblical patriarch is giving his sons instructions on how to build the ark. For the borders, Philip II chose his coats of arms and a few animals alluding to the four elements silhouetted against a landscape in the background, whose painstaking details must have posed quite a technical challenge. This tapestry arrived in Madrid in 1566 and was displayed in emblematic settings like the Monastery of El Escorial.

The debate around what is or isn’t “cancel culture” really just obscures a simple truth that it’s BAD to be massively racist/sexist/homophobic/transphobic and it’s GOOD to speak out against injustice. Some things are good and some things are bad and it’s okay to say which you think are which.
