40 years ago, my car payment was about $200/mo. $1k/mo compared with that isn't horrible (minimum wage $3+/hr vs $13+/hr today). But the rush for SUVs and pickups is absurd when something like a Ford Fiesta or Honda Fit would do the job well for most of us; better for our wallets and the planet.

Instead of talking like Trump, maybe you can be more civil, more respectful when disagreeing with the minority leaders. They may or may not be the best people for their positions, but they're dealing with far more than most of us could handle.

In the last 25 years, two claims equal a little more than one year's premium. In other words, I pay in over 10x what I get back. To me, that means I'm ridiculously assessed as a risk, or we're all being taken to the cleaners.

I'd like to see a road funding plan that tackles conservation (gas tax) while protecting those in the bottom two fifths from additional expense. I don't know a way to do it, but I can afford and would rather pay more gas & income tax to raise K-12 & roads funding than continue the neglect.
