I care less about race, sex, age, and more about what ideas a candidate brings with them and if I believe they will fight for them. If all we change is the age sex and ethnic identity of our political body, we will have changed nothing.

Look at the cost per person vs. health outcomes. It is obvious that countries that implement a single payer system are an improvement to the US health insurance system. Medical debt is the number one reason for bankruptcy here, and our health outcomes are terrible.

I have a child in the house who needs food and a roof over her head. I have medical needs that I can't afford to address. So I have to gamble with my health and hope that I can get my mortgage paid before I have an accident or medical emergency.

I have the option of paying 10% of my gross income for health insurance that won't cover doctors visits or any of my medications until I have already paid at least $9000 in medical expenses for the year, then they will only cover a portion of the remaining expenses. To get anything 20% of my gross

My grandfather served in the military for 25 years and then worked as maintenance personnel at a Naval base. When he fell in an unmarked hole during his duties, the VA refused care for his resulting hematoma. Only after the blood clots had settled in his brain, causing multiple strokes did they act.

Does it sadden you to think about the tens of thousands of people who die every year because they don't have access to healthcare? I'm just saying that profiting off of denying people healthcare after they pay an outrageous fee is a dangerous game.

My experience was similar. I was 6 at Sunday School, and one of the kids had brought a book about dinosaurs for show and tell. The teacher confiscated the book, telling the group that Satan had buried the bones in the ground to test our faith. I knew that was a lie, I had already been to La brea.

I think you are mistaking people's personal reactions for taking sides. I know people on all sides of the political spectrum, and none of them expressed sympathy for the CEO. I was surprised tbh, but I understand the desire to see a predatory merchant of death brought to heel.

I used to believe it was incompetence that led the dem establishment to lose on populist issues. After watching it for decades, you get cynical. One side of the establishment gets paid to win, and the other,,, gets paid to lose. See how eagerly they latch onto any excuse not to fight.

Hahaha, I am pretty sure it was intentional. There's enough subtlety to not directly be Fuckwad, but it certainly evokes the presence of Fuckwad. They were having fun with it.

Americans deserve single-payer healthcare.

I agree that people with half a brain think the 2020 election was rigged.

Let's not be hyperbolic. Saying someone is outraged for expressing an opinion is a little over the top. I am outraged over the other examples, I simply disapprove of Hunter being pardoned. I don't think any of us could expect this kind of special treatment. It's the principle that bothers me.

If we got caught with a gun and we weren't supposed to have one, we would go to jail.

I personally disagree that this is good news. Hunter was guilty, and any of us under a similar circumstance could expect to face the full ramifications. Must be nice to be above the law, and you celebrate the disparity?
