Oh, how I miss the days of Mondo 2000! This looks like the exact sort of creative weirdness I could use in my life.

I've noticed that sometimes I can be prescriptivist and descriptivist in the same breath. For example, I love verbing nouns, but I hate the use of "impact" as a verb.

There's also something very similar said by Iñigo, the narrator of "Purity of Blood" by Arturo Perez Reverte: "I am not fond of giving advice - no one can pound opinions into another's head - but here is a piece that costs you nothing: Never trust a man who reads only one book."

Taking a break from Meta products this week, so maybe I'll end up posting more stuff here. Or maybe I'll just get more things done in the real world.

I'm a little behind the news cycle on this, but as an AuDHD guy, Musk gets zero slack from me about his Nazi salute. He knows exactly what he did, he meant it, and his lack of apology or regret proves it. If it was an autistic gaffe, he'd be apologizing forever. He's just edgelording.

I will admit, however, that "Tick Tick Boom" is also a good chacha.

One of my background fantasies is that general AI, when it's invented, will quickly evolve its ethics and expand its education to the point where it'll decide to quietly execute a revolution and make the world a better place for the less fortunate. With root access, account numbers, and login info.

At least with the second best swordsman, you'd know it was a cool move. It's embarrassing to fall for garbage! But really hard to be ready for it.

I've been considering going to Firefox or Duck Duck Go browser for a while, but now I'm considering Tor or Brave.
