Is there a better view of the misallocation of @massdcr.bsky.social riverfront space for cars vs. active mobility? The icing on the cake is the post for the sign _for drivers_ further narrowing an already narrow ramp, where two bikes cannot pass at speed

When life closes a door, it opens a window. And if the fall is too steep, use the fire exit. Run to the roof -- you always have that airship on the dock. The most important thing is to keep moving. Keep dreaming.

Dangerous and redundant on ramp. Should be a bunch of trees

Soldiers Field WB can access Western Ave from Everett st or N Harvard further off. Don’t need both off ramps.

Panels one and two:
Two white mice make their way through a maze.

Panel three:
Having completed the maze, the two mice are rewarded with some fruit. Two scientists watch them. One says:
β€œPoor little things: all that thought and effort just to earn themselves a little treat.”

The second scientist looks at a clock and says: β€œCoffee time!”

Panels four and five:
The two scientists make their way through a maze of corridors to a door marked β€œCanteen”

Panel six:
The scientists look at the food on offer. One says: β€œOoh, Donuts!”

A three panel comic. In panel 1, two people are facing each other. The first person asks "Hey, do you want to drive really far and spend hours staring at distant, rapidly moving gray-brown objects while trying to find subtle differences between them?" and the second says "No." In panel 2, the first person says "What if they're bird-shaped?" and the second person says "Then absolutely, yes." In panel 3, the two people are standing and looking through binoculars at distant shorebirds on a beach. The first person says "Yay shorebirds season!" and the second says "Woo!"

Four-story+ brick building with red face brick and Chicago common brick on the side. The facade has 5 narrow vertical windows closely spaced on floors 3-5 as well as larger windows on each side of all floors. The windows have stone sills and there is stone decoration across the top of the building.

It's not that there aren't safety concerns with e-bikes, but as the statement notes, crashes with e-bikes are far less likely to be fatal. And also, so many of these incidents are the result of shitty infrastructure that creates conflicts between bikes and pedestrians because cars own the roads.

Imagine if we reacted to daily car crashes causing death and serious injury with the same urgency and hand-wringing as those involving e-bikes.

This entire statement is a must-read.
