Last week Ghana held a high-level Stakeholder’s Forum on Social Protection last week focused on further developing Ghana's social protection system. Progress has been made but data remain key to highlighting gaps.

Lower-middle-income countries are a hidden epicentre of multidimensional poverty, home to 55.5% of poor people. They also bear an overwhelming burden of climate hazards, with 548 million poor people in the region living in areas exposed to at least one climate hazard.
