Cooper’s speedway deal has language in the contract that preemptively declares that none of Bristol’s activities can be deemed a nuisance. Contrast that with the soccer deal which specifically barred the soccer team from several things, including any activities that are “public nuisances”….

Probably banking on the State preempting and taking control of the department from Metro….

Board split on Jasper Hendricks ethics violations charges - Nashville Banner The Metro Board of Ethical Conduct issues warning to Fair Commissioners Chair Jasper Hendricks for violating ethical rules and recommends ethics training.

If the Board of Ethical Conduct — which almost NEVER makes findings that someone actually violated Metro’s ethics code — found I had committed a violation as a board member, I would simply resign.

Alternately, the council could hold a vote to remove Hendricks. His term isn’t up until 2027!
