08.08.2025 16:48 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Locker room signage meant to say “Opportunity is Now Here” which is weird phrasing as it is, but due to poor spacing choices it says “OPPORTUNITY IS NOWHERE”
Don’t forget this gem of locker room graphic design failure from the same era:

Also, should note that Bristol’s big idea of “community benefits” is they have nonprofits “volunteer” (i.e. free labor) to work the concessions stands in exchange for a share of proceeds from sales, so that cynical view of CSR probably plays in here.

This story is a display of how Axios Nashville exists only to carry water for Nashville’s lobbyists, one of which will surely pop up shortly for Boring Company. Describing this project as “mass transit” or as “solving” transit issues to the airport is an utterly embarrassing framing….

It has really gotten out of hand the last few years. It seems to be up to about 10 days now of ever louder explosions, most of which don’t even have any visual/pyrotechnic element.

Are they taking a federal preemption approach (we can get into the irony of that another time) or is it a bizarro inverse state vs state conflict of law thing, i.e. they thing the state with less protections trumps the one with more?!
