I hope it goes well and it helps you!! It's been an ordeal for sure, but I think it'll be well worth it once I'm fully recovered!!

So TL;DR, I'm starting to really heal both emotionally and physically (as much as you can from a loss like that, of course), and there's a lot of hope that I might actually be able to live life again once I recover! I'll never be cured of my conditions, but I should be able to manage them now! (7/7)

But then I had better nurses, got discharged, and I've been in a hotel the past few days (had to go out of state for this). It's been less than a week, but it's already easier for me to walk than it was before the surgery!!! (6/7)

The first night was AWFUL and I had a horrible nurse to boot. Easily 10/10 pain, I couldn't stop sobbing and both the nurse and the on call doctor refused to give me the heavier pain meds that my surgeon prescribed for some reason?? (5/7)

(Side note, my surgeon is the sweetest little German lady who got incredibly excited over my very German last name and was very strict with her nurses and anesthesiologists about how to make me most comfortable, I love her LOL) (4/7)

But on to better news: a few days ago I had tethered cord release surgery. My surgeon said my case was REALLY bad when she got in there, but it went wonderfully and she could already see the nerves starting to relax before she even closed me up! (3/7)

On top of that, my physical pain was slowly getting to be unbearable. By the beginning of July, I couldn't roll myself in my wheelchair anymore, and I could barely even get out of bed. I spent most nights crying myself to sleep. (2/7)

I've disappeared from here for a while whoops, but life's been an absolute ROLLERCOASTER lately (TL;DR at the end). To start, back in May, one of my best friends had a baby and my other best friend passed away. TWO DAYS APART. I seriously went from the highest high to the lowest low. (1/7)
