La Belgique a-t-elle les yeux plus gros que le ventre quand il s’agit de transition énergétique ? Les bornes de recharge pour voitures électriques sortent de terre en un temps record, les parcs de batteries et les data centers fleurissent. En une année seulement, la demande en électricité a explosé et, par endroits, le réseau belge arrive à saturation. Conséquence : des centaines de projets d’extension ou projets de nouvelles entreprises sont remis en cause par manque de puissance électrique disponible. Parfois, aucune promesse de raccordement au réseau ne peut être faite avant cinq à dix ans. Les gestionnaires de transport d’électricité, les gestionnaires de distribution, le monde politique sont à table pour trouver des solutions rapides. Pendant ce temps, le développement économique est ralenti. Les entreprises regrettent une absence de vision à long terme.

On sait scientifiquement qu'on produit beaucoup trop sur une planète aux ressources limitées mais on continue de viser le "développement économique". La "transition écologique" est un leurre. L'énergie économisée est réutilisée de façon encore plus intensive. C'est une vraie décroissance qu'il faut.
