👉A new study shows that the exoskeleton of Dermacentor reticulatus accumulates heavy metals (Cd, Pb, Hg, Cs, Sr). Levels vary by site (Warsaw, rural Poland, Chornobyl), sex and body part—making ticks useful tiny environmental sensors.
