The not-obvious thing to people unaffiliated with biz higher ed, and you know this, is how what you get is very different by major (instructor too). I teach Intro Mktg (all biz majors) w/ a heavy emphasis on history and culture. I know some students never get that anywhere else bc they tell me.
I talked about this yesterday in my Intro course. I remain jaw-dropped that no one there just said, "Hell naw! This is a bad idea." There's just no risk/reward to putting your CEO on camera in a transparent attempt to go viral. Just a bizarre self-own.
We let newspapers and TV news build their whole brand out of, "Ask that one person whose house got robbed what THEY think of your declining crime rates!" for decades. Not surprisingly, ppl find crime hysteria comforting.
That's fair but it's also kind of crickets.
Back in 2000, when I was in MA, a friend who worked at Holy Cross demanded I accompany her to his speech there (to 🙄, obv). Every public statement since then has been a derivative.

A standard day at the office for the criminal punishment system. When we opened the first bail fund in SC history, sheriff dept staff initially refused to allow us to post for people, claiming it couldn't possibly be legal because why hadn't anyone ever done it before?
