I used to use a Cintiq but tbh the past few years I've just been using a Wacom One, which is like 99AUD. It's been great for portability and not taking up much desk real estate.

I feel like you could get some mileage out of the horrors from Earthdawn as inspo for more extreme mutations :^) Some of them are even statted up and could probably slot into an SR system without too much trouble

A two panel comic that reads right to left.

In the first panel, the human character is patting the elf on the shoulder saying "Listen, if you're mad at someone, try writing letters about your feelings for them, and then burning them!". The elf responds, looking pensive, "Mm... I guess..."

In the second panel the elf asks "But what should I do with the letters?". The human looks shocked in response.

comic collab with @necrocomrade.bsky.social

the language barrier definitely makes for some interesting miscommunications lol

(Having your foci tattoos forcefully stripped also absolutely blows. Those things are fucking expensive.)

Being kept as a starving prisoner on an oil rig in international waters and tortured for an indeterminate amount of time in an attempt to draw out the horoi you're bound to doesn't leave you in the greatest of shape, physically or mentally.

A very gaunt looking elf smoking against a brick wall.

🎢I've walked the earth and there are so few here that know
How dark the night
And just how cold the wind can blow
I've no more hunger now to see where the road will go
I've no more kept my warmth
Than blood upon the snow🎢

Haven't drawn Spitfire post Black Lodge much so I figured it was time.

Yeah it's been like a solid 50/50 if I manage to get it to trigger and my PC is like, upper mid-range? (That stupid AI frame gen thing probably makes that exponentially worse too. Pain.)

I was originally going to put Timelapse (1996) or Zork II after Myst but then I realised they actually had a listing for The Forgotten!! :D

Timelapse and The Forgotten: It Begins taught me from a young age to never expect a sequel to games you love lol

You can (allegedly) get the Affinity suite working on Linux, that's been my go-to as a designer, though I imagine it may have similar teething issues to CSP

Awesome, thank you for sharing! Good to know it doesn't work 100% on Bazzite though, I was considering that one.

What distro/method are you using? I'm considering switching and was looking at the Bottles method but I'm curious to see how others are handling it

It's because all the big names in the industry became AI shills and everyone else is just sucking their hog about it. I follow some of the big names because it's my industry and I loosely monitor trends and lemme tell you, LinkedIn looks fucking bleak rn.

Ymmv but in FODMAP cookbooks are pretty good if you have pretty intense dietary restrictions, it might be overkill for you but it's a good foundation to build on

That's totally fair, going past Bomaderry without a car is pretty impossible. Definitely can recommend going to Vivid Sydney and the Biennale whenever they roll into town tho! Newtown's a good place to check out for the vibes and alt stores as well. Twenty10 has a few queer social hangouts too :^)

Yoooo you have to visit Sappho Bookstore in Glebe!!! The cafe garden out back is gorgeous! And if you're ever in the mood to see true aussie beaches, Oak Park is a really nice secluded one that none of the tourists know about (if you're willing to travel down the coast Picnic Point is stunning too)

You're very cool and have good taste in clothes! It's been really fun hanging out with you :^)

(I've also gotten a lot better at recognizing Russian letters since we started talking which is really cool)

haha yeah it's similarly touch-and-go for me, all my stuff is still back in Aus so I still feel like i'm in limbo, but otherwise i'm living the dream! glad to hear you've got a good network though <3

(crazy that people used to just hop on a boat and start a whole new life like it was nothing 🫠 )
