I downloaded my mortuary arch reading in case I lose power tomorrow and it looks so interesting. The title is “Lower and Middle Palaeolithic Mortuary Behaviours

Maybe it all boils down to me being used to one anthro class structure and needing to get used to another structure 😅

The class structure is also weird bc we have to do readings and responses to them, but we dont talk about them :O we just sit and hear her lecture. I wish we could dive into the readings more because then the lecture material would make sense

So that's why we have a bioarch class separate from the HP arch classes

"Shunned" is kind of a strong word, but my major's department has tried to work with them, and they do not allow it 😬. Its not because the material is different, its literally because they are veeeeery stubborn and (from what ive heard) snobby 🥴

Maybe im missing out on a class from last semester that i couldnt take? Idk, but I'll get the hang of it

Attended my first mortuary archaeology class on Wednesday and im lost bc the professor talks about these things as if everybody knows it... I fear that the only ones who know it are the hist pres majors because they've been given the archaeology material; anthro majors are kinda 'shunned' from it :/

Anyways. Whatever happens, im going to try to be a day or two ahead of schedule 🫡

While I was on medical leave, my sisters had a snow day and it ended up being such a waste that they've changed the snow day policy this semester. Now, professors can decide whether to hold class or not (the policy before cancelled all classes without prof input)

the minnesota occupation is, i think, already a political defeat for the administration, and i don't see how it eventually ends as anything other than a major political disaster

I actually finished what I wanted to do for today (which was notes for today's readings) so now im washing my clothes and relaxing. Tomorrow I'll tackle my anthro content one class at a time 👍

So... my ferritin (the iron levels of your whole body) levels are so depleted, im gonna have to go through treatment for it. And thaaaats why I am so weak mentally and physically 😅

Kinda gut-wrenching that my stamina is just gone... I cant go through my anthro readings in one night anymore. It takes me the whole day 💔

First day back went really well, but I have to take it easy… I had to move my rituals class hw to tomorrow bc I was in so much pain 🥴
