Things should jiggle and there should be extra poseable bones! You need to have the skeleton and some yas-enabled / yiggle models on your character. For things like tails, you also need animations that include tail movement - using an anim swap mod to yoink tailed race anims is a good/easy start
YAS is based on ivcs so it should work just fine for tails!

Sometimes it just doesn't make a lot of sense for the creator to do it imo.. My Gilded mod has a lil neck seam because I would've had to edit 40-50 files to fix it for every race and it still wouldn't have fixed it for anyone using asym faces or sculpt mods, so I made a tutorial on fixing it instead

Absolutely fair! There is a separate pmp for JUST the skeleton, from wherever you'd download YAB, and the physics are actually separate as well - so you can keep the skeleton enabled in the background to prevent any wibbly wobblyness, but it shouldn't cause any extra jiggle on its own
