Oh good gods how did I not notice that!!

SCIENCE IS SO COOL. Using just various concentrations of isopropyl alcohol, we separated the blue and red dyes out of grape Kool-Aid.
My prof even gave me one of the separation columns to take home and do the experiment with my kiddos 😍🥹 (shhh don't tell the college)

And Chris is coming for the weekend while my girls are with their dad. It's always a good weekend when I get to spend it with him 🥰

Life is pretty good lately. At therapy on Tuesday, it was my first session since last May that I didn't really have anything bad to talk about. We had a couple of good laughs. Got deeper on some of the good shit that's been happening.

I'm feeling hopeful for the first time in a long time. 🩷🥹🩷

You're right, but unfortunately my eldest graduates grade 8 on Tuesday and her clap out and celebration events are tomorrow, so she's unwilling to miss, even with the heat. I'll drive her so she doesn't have to take the bus, at least.
Youngest wants to go but we'll see how bad it is tomorrow.

Sadie's supposed to have a friend over this afternoon but we might have to postpone.

We might go hole up at my parents' place. It's just not ideal because they live 25 mins out of town so it makes getting the kids to school tomorrow trickier.
We shall see how bad it gets.

There's a heat warning in effect here, and our A/C went out last, seemingly for the whole building. We live in public housing which means maintenance doesn't work weekends. The emergency answering service sent techs to individual units but that's not gonna help.

Maybe, but not likely for this. I'm going to see what this firm has to say on Monday but I don't have high hopes given how they've handled my stuff so far.

It's legally called that. I didn't choose the term. I think it means no spousal or child support requested and no expectation of the other party contesting?

My ex finally got served the papers YESTERDAY.
TODAY at 4:55pm, I got an email. My (2nd) lawyer has resigned. I need a new one. At a new firm, this time.
I have no idea what this means for my divorce, already filed. I have no idea where else to look.
I'm so fucking frustrated and angry. 2/2

I'm a solo-mom/FT student and got a legal aid certificate to help me file my divorce papers.
Met w lawyer early April. Papers to be filed May 21. 4 days before, I was told the lawyer is moving & I need a new one. Had to get a new certificate & redo the signing, and it delayed filing by 2 weeks. 1/2

Well, they're both done and I'm relatively certain I got at least 75% on both. 2 more days of labs and then reading break. Looking forward to some chill time, ending off with 3 days camping with my partner 🩷🩷
