Many of them have fences around them.
To be granted I shouldn't have done it this way. Grabbing the floor collision normal makes a lot more sense, but everything related to diving was a last minute addition to an already spaghetti coded player controller.

Just fixed a super funny bug where you would downwarp at lighting speed if you fall off a ledge when diving because of the way I programmed it to find angle and speed.
It compares your Y position to a raycast hit Y position firing slightly above your next position.
Level 2 progress:

Got a lot of progress done today. While I'm not ready to exit the blockout phase yet I am very close.
The other two rooms of the level won't be that big so it won't be a problem.
If you ever see somebody in your replies who is rude and arrogant at you then just assume its a bot.
Social media platforms do use bots like that to push you to engage more often.
Ignoring them helps loads both from a mental health and use of time standpoint.
A extended draw distance mod for the Banjo recomp has been made.
It looks super surreal seeing everything like this.

Don't get me started on how bizarre animations are in Goldsrc/Source lol
Each animation is defined with its own framerate in the .qc file to compile models so they are all over the place and never consistent.
If you are wondering about Half-Life 1 - they didn't unwrap models into single textures.
They used dozens of textures per model which takes up a ton of memory.
For reference on what was considered standard at the time: This is the texture unwrap for Doomguy in Quake 3 Arena, released a whole year later.
Despite this the UVs are far less optimized, lots of empty space.
People give Blood 2: The Chosen a lot of flak for reasons that are wholefully deserved (bad gameplay, level design, etc) but the actual quality of the model UV unwraps were insane for 1998.
