WHY YOU SHOULD CONTINUE TO GET THE COVID-19 VACCINE EVERY YEAR
01.
COVID-19 hospitalizations continue to be high in the elderly (over age 65) and very young (under age 2). In 2024, nearly 50,000 people died in the US from COVID-19 and it is still the third leading cause of death in adults and eighth in children.
02.
Among children and adolescents ages 6 months-17 years hospitalized with COVID-19, 41% had no underlying health conditions. In adults, COVID-19 related hospitalizations increases with underlying medical conditions.
03.
Most adults hospitalized with COVID-19 had received no COVID-19 vaccine since September 2022. In children, majority of those hospitalized were not vaccinated.
04.
While efficacy on protection against infection is low due to the evolving variants and does also wane, studies have shown the updated vaccines are still nearly 60% effective against hospitalization and death.
05.
Studies show that those who were vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine and get infected are less likely to develop post-COVID conditions such as Long Covid and MIS-C compared to those who are unvaccinated.
06.
Despite what some disinformation spreaders say, the COVID-19 vaccine is very safe. On myocarditis, countless studies have shown that the risk is significantly higher and more severe with infection compared to the lower incidence with the vaccines.

Hey Vinay Prasad, science belongs to everyone. You’ve bemoaned how the FDA and CDC were not transparent for years, yet here you are intentionally refusing to share evidence.
This data does not belong to you. It belongs to the American people. Release it.

Also remember to think about the unusual suspects. For example, chocolate houses like Mary’s Brigadeiro used these as did popular baklava spots like Baklava King and Crown. They are all part of the recall.

While this has to do with Canada, I am unsure if the US has proper systems in place to detect these - so personally I would be cautious even if in the US.

Pistachio Recall expanded outbreaks due to
Salmonella
Pistachios from Iran have been identified to be contaminated with salmonella. This was originally announced in July, but over the last two weeks Health Canada has recalled 84 additional products either of raw pistachios or those containing pistachios. Only pistachios from Iran are impacted. There is a temporary restriction of imports of pistachios and pistachio-containing products from Iran as a precautionary measure. Because pistachios have a long shelf-life, some of these products have been circulating since
October of 2024.
If you have pistachios originating from Iran at home, please throw them out. If unsure about origin, err on the side of caution. At restaurants or already prepared foods, ask about the origin of pistachios before consuming.
unambiguous
SCIENCE

Pistachio recall just got much bigger.
Risk for more severe symptoms is the highest amongst those youngest and oldest, as well as those pregnant and immunocompromised.

So far there is no evidence that this did not occur.
The claim "RFK Jr was not bitten by a zombie" is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that RFK Jr was indeed bitten by a zombie.

Remember, the vaccines we have available to us have gone through rigorous efficacy and safety studies, despite what some disinformation actors will tell you.
But of course, there is always room for improvement and so studies for newer, better and safer vaccines continues.

Giving participants a placebo means leaving them at full risk of infection or severe effects (depending on the vaccine), even though we already have something that is shown to be effective.
This is why any research ethics board will simply not allow a study like this to occur.

Once a safe and effective vaccine exists for a disease, it becomes unethical to give participants a placebo in a clinical trial because you will be denying the control group protection that we know already works.

THIS IS WHY ASKING FOR 'PLACEBO CONTROLLED TRIALS' FOR EXISTING VACCINES MAKES NO SENSE!!!!

If you chose chaos, then RIP my friend.

If you are yelling at the screen where the people in the movie chose chaos, then the rest of this post is
for you!

Would your two test groups be:
1- the new spray vs the old spray
OR
2- would you want to invite chaos in your life and give one group the new spray and the other group NO SPRAY?

Imagine you are in a post-apocalyptic world with zombies. There is a spray you can use to ward off zombies. It works well, but is short-acting.

Someone made a new spray that is more long-acting. You want to test it out to see the difference.

Depending on the age. For seniors it’s typically recommended for 65+ with risk factors or those 75+. And also the monoclonal antibody for babies.

Allergies definitely can be a thing in November: dust mites in winter clothing, mold due to outdoor moisture because of rain and snow, Christmas trees.

Not every illness is 'the flu' and yes, you still need a flu shot even if you do have the real deal 'flu'.
