A dragon head descends from darkness, smoke trailing from its open mouth. A multitude of hands reach from its throat, almost like a tongue, together they grasp the hilt of a gold, shining sword.

Sharp tongue

I agree, they're kind of meh usually, and make platforming less interesting in my opinion. The only game I've LOVED a double jump in is Titanfall 2.

Mario does "mid-air" moves very well, the spin from Galaxy, air dive from 64, Cappy throw in Odyssey, intricate and fun versions of mid-air movement
