“The only way you can coach someone is to get to know them. Communicate and get to know them” when asked about development.

“If we have a bunch of Joe Brady’s on the staff we will not grow” Brady says when asked about staffing.

Beane didn’t feel it would be fair to wait for any remaining coaches still coaching. He didn’t feel it was smart to wait.

“If I’m not myself it will not work. I think it’s important that I have to be me”

Beane says “he believes in Joe’s vision and agrees that he’ll learn a lot along the way”

“I’m going to make mistakes I’m not perfect” a lot of Humility from Joe Brady as he talks about surrounding himself with a staff he trusts.

“We don’t have to be yes men but when that decision is made we don’t look back” talking alignment.

Beane explains they were very detailed in their approach all the way down to when is lunch? A question provided by Josh.

Beane disagrees that it was a coach’s fault. Beane goes on to say he feels guilt because it’s a collective effort.

This was a question about why hire a coach from the coaching staff.

“Josh told him he didn’t help him get the job.” Brady earned it.

“I couldn’t sleep for the last week this is the job I wanted” “this is where I wanted to be”

“Every decision this organizations makes is with Josh Allen in mind” “everything I think about is trying to put him in success, I have to grow”

What needs to change? “The energy and mentally and the vision needs to align”

“I didn’t talk to Josh Allen for a week, the interview was intense” Brady goes on to say “maybe it’s fine tuning some stuff”

Beane goes on to say they wanted to be fair and they called him on Zoom and gave him more questions but he believed he was the head coach after that.

Beane says the interview process was long. He said when they got done with the last candidate and they discussed it for 2 hours put it to bed and Joe was rising. Said Joe had a tough hill to climb. “The best process is not to look at Joe Brady as someone in your building” “start from scratch”

“The culture starts with them (discussing the players) 17 sets the culture” Brady continues to say there is a ton of work todo and he believes in the people they have.

Brady says I’m in the process of putting together a staff but he’s not in a rush.

“I have so much confidence in the guys right here” “everything I am is because of you guys”

Great opening statement from Brady. Again you can tell he’s passionate.

“The pride and passion of bills mafia is second to none” you can tell Buffalo means a ton to Brady.

“I understand the expectations are loud and I am meeting it full on and I’m embracing it. I want what this city wants” Brady is extremely passionate about the city. You need that as the coach of the Buffalo Bills.
