Newman & Sproull “Principles of Interactive Computer Graphics” was my professional bible during my industrial placement (internship) and the first two years of my career starting in 1984. Years later I was lucky enough to work in the same company as Bob Sproull. I just picked up a copy for £2!

Followed by a pint of Watney’s Red Barrel from a party seven keg. Need one of these though…

There is one song above all others that takes me back to that time, probably because it was unique compared with all the other music at the time - "Electricity" by OMD. I'd never heard anything like it and the first time I heard it at Marshall Street and then later at Olliver's I was hooked.

Still one of my all time favourites. Imagine being 16 again though!

Ten years I after I stopped working for Vodafone, the worst two years of my career, I have switched my mobile phone away from Three and have gone back to the Vodafone network. On the very same day the CMA has approved Vodafone UK's merger with Three.

Then there’s the flip side - how much Tom Cruise doesn’t look like the character he is playing, eg Jack Reacher who is supposed to be a giant of a man. (Still great films though!)
