All because of initiative roll initiated by the character with Reflexes, which turns Total Surprise into Partial Surprise. To be fair, GURPS editor explained this rule on forum, but his clarifications feel like they’re not from 4th Edition at all.

I love GURPS — it’s my first and favorite TTRPG system. And as a true fan, I love "tikat palkoi" to find all sorts of funny bugs. For example, a player can actually stun themselves in a ‘Total Surprise’ situation by bumping into a character with Combat Reflexes.

That’s what the Pathologic board game looks like, by the way. Its design is actually atmospheric.

Kinda got the urge to create my own setting for a GURPS game at TL4—something like a plague in a fantasy city. I want a pack of various houses, portraits, items, plague cards like in the Pathologic board game, and so on. I might make the map and house packs pixel-style. Here's a couple of sketches.
