It was frustrating that he expected me to move on so quickly. I don’t think anyone truly understood the depth of what I’ve endured over the past year. How much my spirit, mental health, and body have suffered. I needed time to heal, and I’m proud of myself for taking the time I needed.✨💎

February of last year, just a few days before my birthday, my ex decided to remove himself from our relationship, and my life changed forever. I’m not too eager to celebrate this year. Last year was horrible. Besides, celebrate with who?

It’s about embracing the journey. And through it all, I’ve found strength and lessons I hope can help others on their own path to healing.

While I’m still healing and processing, I want to share everything I’m learning along the way. I’ve realized that overcoming grief isn’t about rushing through it.

I’ve been alone in a place of transition, carrying the weight of everything I’ve lost, yet determined to move forward.

It’s been two years of grieving the many things I lost while maintaining my sobriety, and in that time, I’ve spent the last three months living in a new apartment in a new city, all while navigating through severe grief.

Grief Is a Universal Experience✨

Grief doesn’t just come from the death of someone we love. It can stem from any significant loss—loss of identity, stability, relationships, dreams, or even coping mechanisms. I know this all too well because my journey through grief started the day I got sober.

Currently at the gym pissed I’m doing cardio. It’s a hard session. Strength training does not prepare you for Cardio.😩🥴
