It’s that time of the year again when embroidery starts getting my attention.

This one is 35” x 24” (89 cm x 61 cm) approximately.

Took me longer than I expected but very pleased with the result.

A ceramic piece with 7 little containers, each one holding a candle. They can be used together as a center piece or also separated to hold soy sauce for example. The candles are lit.

Made this to have multiple uses. Right now sitting in front of my fireplace.
Thought of using for soy sauce as you can separate the pieces.
And also did it in pieces that can help when you want to store it.
What else could I use it for?

Absolutely adorable! I mean cats are the best!

Two ceramic bottles glazed in beige/caramel and green. The bottle on the left has “hugs” written in black and the bottle on the right has “kisses” written in black but super difficult to read as the glaze ran more than expecting.

Messed up a bit but would be great if these things could also come in little bottles.

Couldn’t agree more. The worst one is to wait for the kiln to cool down. The closer it gets to the temperature to open, the longer it takes 🤪

I went to a class about mushrooms on Sunday. It was fantastic: a walk to find some, inoculating a log and then cooking mushrooms.
Fascinating creatures. Now I want to learn more about them.

I do. 3x snapdragon (Amaco C-54) + 3x Running Hot Chowder (Spectrum) + 3x Seaweed (Amaco PC-42).

Ceramic fruit bowl that cracked and I used it to test combinations of glazes following the frozen pond technique. There are 12 combinations using either black (obsidian - left side) or red (snapdragon - right side).

Tests for frozen pond combos since the piece cracked.
