Chloe Zhao at the 2026 Oscars, wearing a black dress with big sleeves and plasticky looking ruffles, plus a black veil over her face.

I love* March in Wisconsin because you just never know.

March 6 was 70° and sunny.

This week between Thursday night and Monday afternoon we're going to get 30 inches of snow and, as a capper, a high of 16° on Monday (with insane wind.)

*Love may not be the most accurate word here.

Two lambs head to head in a sunlit field. Two adult sheep can be seen behind Two baby goats nestled together in the straw. They are white and brown. Cygnets in the grass. There are at least four. One stands up stretching its neck and tiny wings Two fallow deer by a tree. They are turned facing the camera.

Would seeing some cute animals brighten your day?

If the answer is 'yes', we can help.

I don't solve mysteries but otherwise I have achieved this!

(I don't know about ghost cats, but we have feral cats around who make a LOT more noise than anything their size should make, so probably?)

A handicap blue and white painted sign on the asphalt of a parking space. The symbols are meant to be a pregnant women and a baby stroller, but it doesn't look like that. It looks like pac man being killed with scissors next to a dancer

I didn't read the article (paywall) but this post is conflating rude behavior with personal reading preferences.

Delighted by this episode of Star Trek TNG where the away team is trapped in an alien hotel but it just looks like they don’t know how to use revolving doors

Wait - the corner of Olympic and Cloverfield, Santa Monica? Ladies and Gentlemen, that is almost exactly the location where the old Buffy offices stood. I believe we may owe thanks for this one to the Hellmouth.

My understanding of "A.I." is that it is software that generates text based on probabilities of words next to other words. There's no thought, judgement, analysis; no thesis or support for a thesis.

So what are we talking about when we say the "A.I" is better at social science research?

I keep seeing that new movie Wuthering Heights is almost totally different than the book, but the movie sounds pretty unhinged, and the book was certainly unhinged, so maybe it's just an adaptation based on vibes?

Seems right.
