I've been on longer flights, from California to Singapore was my record, about 15 hours. They have plenty of fuel on board. Cars can go for long times and distances on one tank, and car tanks are not that large.

We were at a big lake in a state park near Sarasota (??) where they had boat tours, plenty of gators, and a restaurant that served alligator stew.
