As Cyclone Fina bears down on Darwin I’m reminded that my paternal grandfather and his brother were caught up in Cyclone Tracey in ‘74. They were stuck in their caravan, which had been blown on its side, trapping them for three days.

Well, it’s been eventful, that’s for sure. Right now you could argue that England didn’t play to the conditions, but Tests go five days for a reason. They at least played with intent and some flair; while it lasted.

As an Australian: I don’t care. I do care about the Australian team and what Cricket Australia does. I don’t set my standards of integrity by what other people do.
