As much as we see value in generative text technologies for language learning and teaching - when used wisely pedagogically and with respect for the creative work of authors - our values and mission do not align with those of OpenAI. Alternative GenAI applications are out there.
Going forward, we will stop promoting the use of ChatGPT in our workshops and materials. ChatGPT is Trump's biggest donor, and ICE uses a screening tool powered by OpenAI's GPT-4. quitgpt.org
