Israel & the USA deserve a government not run by corrupt criminals.

The Netanyahu government is planning a major reserve mobilisation of up to 450,000 soldiers as the military prepares for a possible ground operation in Lebanon. (Kan News)

Ground operation = invasion of Southern Lebanon.

Please don't think the Ides of March is about stabbing people to death. That's incredibly reductive. It's about stabbing people to death as a team, as a community.

This guidance addresses only the use of administrative warrants to arrest aliens subject to final orders of removal issued by an Immigration judge, the BIA, or a U.S. district court judge or magistrate judge in their place of residence. This scoping is not intended to concede that an administrative warrant would be insufficient to arrest an alien in his or her place of residence prior to a final order of removal or where there is a final order of removal issued by an immigration officer.

This is the Trump administration trashing the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution in pursuit of its mass deportation agenda.

Worse, a footnote to this memo suggest they won't even rule out authorizing home invasions with no judicial warrant for people not even ordered removed!

Easy-to-use solar panels are coming, but utilities are trying to delay them Utilities are convincing lawmakers around the U.S. to delay bills that would allow people to buy solar panels, plug them into an outlet and begin generating electricity.

Why do I feel like there's an editor at the New York Time whose sole job is to insert "appeared to" before every statement of fact exposing Trump's mendacity.

My Ides of March fun fact is that the place where Caesar was stabbed is now a cat sanctuary, and I think it’s beautiful that creatures with tiny knives on their feet live there

Right. I do want a breather. Just like I need sleep at night. I'm a psychiatrist, so I know damn well that *nobody* can be in outrage mode 24-7 & maintain their mental health.

You know what happens when people burn out? They break down & stop fighting. Then the authoritarian regime wins.

CONGRESSWOMAN
RASHIDA TLAIB
ENDORSES
KAT ABUGHAZALEH

Representative Tlaib’s endorsement means so much to me personally. She’s set a true example for what it means to be deeply rooted in transformative progressive values that never compromise.

I hope to join her in 2027 as the only other currently elected Palestinian in Congress!

This is what they said in 1956 when we overthrew the legitimately elected government of Iran and installed the shah which led to the ayatollahs which….never mind.

This is underreported story. But it’s important.

Acts of domestic terrorism are predictably spiking in the aftermath of our attack on Iran - and Trump and Patel gutted the FBI counterterrorism team, leaving the country intentionally exposed.

It's really strange, because when I go to Europe, the first thing people ask me is, "What the fuck is wrong with you guys?"

Some folks ask me if I think I might regret becoming more “political” on social media.

I would only regret not being nearly political enough.

why is the Transportation Secretary talking about ICE policies and Iran on Fox News?

(this is a rhetorical question -- the answer is that nobody in the Trump administration has actual job duties)

Evicted exposed the myth that eviction is a personal failure, proving it is structural; Palaces for the People obliterated the notion that cities depend only on physical infrastructure by uplifting social infrastructure. Here are books by Black & Indigenous authors also dismantling urban untruths. 🧵

Americans in both parties long viewed solar energy more favorably than any other energy source. Solar favorability among Republicans dropped a lot in recent years, due part to opinion-shaping by right-wing media. Bundling solar with data centers, which are pretty unpopular, probably doesn't help.

Donald, on the other hand, couldn't even get into college. When he graduated from New York Military Academy that spring, he hadn't yet been accepted anywhere and asked his older sister, Maryanne, for help. She drove him around to local schools close enough to my grandparents' house so he could commute, and Fordham University finally found a spot for him. Fordham, however, wasn't prestigious enough for him. He had his sights set on the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School.
Because Maryanne did his homework for him and wrote his papers, his grades were decent enough, but he worried about the SATs. To hedge his bets, he paid a guy he knew, with a reputation for being a good test taker, to take his SATs for him. Just to be on the safe side, he also asked my dad to speak with his fraternity brother, who worked in Penn's admissions office to put in a good word.

From his niece, Mary Trump:
