03.10.2025 17:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've been getting real tired of so many AI slop history/sword/military videos that are just... wrong.
So I made a channel dedicated to debunking them.
Here's to 3 more!
24.09.2025 01:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The Forever War is a military science fiction classic for numerous reasons.
But could their soldiers beat up a Space Marine?
youtu.be/h1NPsyebiNQ?...
Marcus Vance's Sword Knowledge Level surpasses Italian fencing master Fiore de Liberi.
Fiore is recognized as one of the best sword masters on Earth
Vance achieved this NATURALLY with his unorthodox nerd lifestyle
I've noticed that the research is my favorite part of work, but it's difficult to do that alongside feeling like I need to regularly put out stuff.
So I've been working on front loading. So far haven't quite gotten to the point where I can shift focus.
Larger groups going head to head, I think the long range tachyon weaponry would make them a force to be reckoned with.
The stasis fields would be almost impossible to counter on the battlefield.
But 1x1, they wouldn't really stack up against other super soldiers.
As for training, it ranges from "draft the smartest and most physically fit people," to mentally and physically going through years of training in weeks thanks to nervous system stimulation, to eugenics and cloning making the "perfect soldier."
03.08.2025 20:22 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The big thing near the end is the Stasis Field. A "nothing faster than 16 m/s can enter and it'll kill unshielded people" type deal.
Which leads to GLORIOUS MELEE.
But even an unarmed Space Marine would 0 dif them there... if it weren't for not having the right tachyon shielding.
Those grenade launchers have a 500 gram tachyon payload (whatever that means). If comparable to modern explosives, it's like they have a full auto RPG-7. What people claim the Bolter is.
They also have even more powerful missile launchers and mounted lasers.
Their primary weapon is the "finger laser" linked to their armor's power supply, and it seems really good.
Can be used for mining at low settings. Erases limbs. Easily 40k Hot-Shot lasgun levelβbut not too accurate at longer ranger.
For that, they have grenade launchers.
Their armor is a space suit with internal exoskeleton, and, unfortunately, doesn't seem to offer notable protection.
However, it does put them in the Spartan/Space Marine ballpark of lifting strength, so that's good.
The Forever War is a staple of military science fiction.
It focuses on a soldier jumping forward in time due to FTL travel coming back to a new Earth after each battle.
The weapons are blueprints for future scifi.
But can their soldiers beat up a 40k Space Marine?
For the record, my first published short story had 5 em dashesβone every 100 words!βand I wrote it in 2018.
A.I. does use more em dashes than the average person, but not the average author.
Law enforcement are instructed to focus on the green zones in order to keep batons "less lethal."
Striking other areas can be seen as an escalation of force.
People are tired of hearing this, but I just find it so funny how I went from posting that no one asks me about to talk about Rebel Moon guns to getting harassed by Snyder bros to becoming the most popular Rebel Moon lore youtuber on the platform and doing more for the series than any of them.
22.04.2025 22:09 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0"Yeah? Well at least 40k implants don't make people go crazy like Cyberpunk!"
My sibling in the Omnissiah, Space Marines no longer care about humans and the Ad Mech despises meat. They are cyberpsychos.
"This is a social experiment to see if I can get away with acting like a jerk."
Boring.
I've been trying to undo the "katana sucks" public sentiment that came from people overcorrecting anime nerds
Accidentally ended up with two of these since I didn't realize there were two editions...

22.04.2025 22:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Norwegian peasant militia axes were weird. But the curved head was so you get the leverage of an axe, but a similar drawing/cutting motion you get with a curved sword. It's one of those designs that didn't really make it.

23.02.2025 21:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yup. And we've known the M4/M16 had significant flaws for... 60 years now? But we still use it
23.02.2025 16:23 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The Imperium of Man barely has railguns small enough to give to Space Marines.
Cyberpunk has railgun pistols that are seen as a common Corp concealed pieces, and they can penetrate over 16 feet of dense concrete (likely ~2.4 feet of armor steel).
The Tau don't even have that.
We gotta stop this "Warhammer 40k is more advanced because it's 40,000 years"
Space Marines get stronger by getting injected with hormones and eating ceramics for a year so it fuses with their bones.
Cyberpunk has a nanite injection that rebuilds muscle casually over 2 weeks.
Contrary to what movies say, it's not difficult to use a sword.
They weigh about 2.5 pounds, and, according to some, only take about a week to learn proficiency.
Gaining expertise requires more time, though.
