A large, solid black bird (looks like a blackbird) occupies the left and bottom portions of the frame, facing right. A grey bird (pigeon-like) is inverted and nestled within the curve of the black bird's neck and back is the head of the grey bird, facing left. Had an interlocking composition which has yin and yang style to it. Title of the piece is Night and Day, I think.

Low tide at Lough Foyle reveals rippled sand and shallow reflective pools stretching toward calm water, mirroring a dramatic sky filled with towering dark storm clouds and bright breaks of sunlight. Since you all liked today’s long-tailed tit picture so much, I should I’d share more of my garden tits with you. There’s the blue tit, the tiny coal tit and the great tit.

There’s also marsh/willow tits and crested tits in the UK, I’m yet to see those though :)

Photograph taken looking out over the moat at Little Moreton Hall, Cheshire, towards a wonderful old tree and the countryside beyond. Tree stands on the curve of the moat with its branches outstretched. No leaves but a delightful shape. Further skeleton trees and hedging beyond and a small field on a gentle slope upwards. Blue sky overhead. Much is reflected in the moat. Colour palette is stunning - gentle lime, deep blue, dark brown, hints of chestnut, mid-blue, mid-green, pale gold. I was trying to photograph a pair of black birds with bright red beaks (sorry Alan and Rob, not a clue what they were) but they weren't in the mood for fame. The landscape couldn't escape so snapped that instead.
