It’s scary to be a cancer survivor coming back to publishing w/an epic-portal-everything-fantasy cancer book on embracing our darkest times. It was scary knowing some said I couldn’t pull it off. Nobody knows where a story may go. Health scares, no fun. My incredulous joy at wicked good news? SO fun

Most readers are wonderful people who love stories and it was a joy to be with them this weekend. Those who do not think ‘would I be cool if someone spoke to me or a loved one of mine this way’ ruin what should be a time of getting to meet at last on a real bridge across the river of imagination.

I was in Seattle at #worldcon & glad the whole room booed. I am a big ASOIAF fan but also a person & so is George R.R. Martin (and clearly a person who loves Worldcon). Writers are people & that is no way to speak to a person. Before saying that shit, also consider: tomorrow is promised to no man.

I find this collation of quotes so inspiring, it’s exactly like (not to hit a sore point) when people were complaining about Wheel of Time, and their complaining drew the True Audience in. I wish to emulate you but probably instead of porn it’s the musical. 🤣

A collection of 1 and 2 star reviews: "crazy, sexy" - 2 stars. there is a decent story but it is lost because of the decadent sex scenes. if you are into that, you will enjoy this book. "stupidest book ever written" - 1 star. this was hunger games meets porn and it was just stupid... no thanks." "hedonistic..." 2 stars - hedonistic dystopian porn saga. the characters are strange and endlessly horny. Nuff said.
