luckily this year I've got a kiddo to take around trick-or-treating in family cosplay, and a friend's bachelorette weekend immediately after so fingers crossed it won't be quite so depressing?

and halloween time is already tough enough as is cuz it's sucked since 2018 (elderly family member hospitalized and subsequent years my partner didn't really take my resulting depressions into consideration or try to console/comfort me the year it happened) and despite my best efforts Its just 'meh'

it's also extra annoying cuz I spent a CHUNK of my weekend specifically picking out outfits for every day of spirit week (animal, spooky, villain, throwback, Halloween) and I was so careful to check "is this cute together" "will this be work appropriate"

and now I don't wanna do it anymore 😢

for reference, I color coordinated my clothes to my ears + tail (pink, white, green w/ dango theme)

I was feeling pretty swanky until I walked into my office building and then it was just SHAME.

nothing makes me feel more like an asshole than being the only person in the office who goes a little too hard for spirit week. Day 1 theme: animal. wear print, ears, tail, w/e!
