I woke up to find a very early birthday present waiting for me from my brother; the actual day isn’t for another 2ish weeks, but I was granted permission to open this early.

Yeah, lower engagement is something I’ve noticed across all my socials lately.

I got hardly any sleep (brain wouldn’t shut off), and am now laying on my couch watching my cats play with rainbows.

Do I get a reward if I was already following you?

Jane Goodall was a beautiful human being who believed wholeheartedly in the power of knowledge, empathy, and conservation. She made it her life’s mission to make the world a better place, and I know of few who were so tireless or optimistic in the pursuit of that goal.

This also goes for the 4- to 6- letter codes often used to abbreviate common names. I don’t need/want them anymore.

I have decided I have far too many Latin species names memorized. I would like that brain space back, please.

So…I was almost finished with a hybrid narrative script I’ve been working on, but couldn’t quite get the narrative where I wanted it.

I was just doing some laundry to give myself some thinking space, and came up with a better idea but it means a rewrite.

I’m both pleased and annoyed with myself.
