In movements like this, which have no need for authority or even leadership, I would be extremely wary of anyone who calls themselves a leader and then ends the movement.
While I agree with not voting in categories you're not actually qualified to vote in, the qualification is literally "watch a cartoon."
If you can't watch movies that make up a quarter of all box office grosses then what are you even doing in this industry? How can you consider yourself up-to-date?
It's hard to put into words how much of a difference you can make to someone's day simply by reading a story they wrote, sharing it, and telling them that you liked it. Not only is the reading itself a worthwhile pleasure, it's also just a wonderful gift. It's so worth doing
